To Administer a remote client that has already accepted an Administration Link
You will now be presented with the Administer User screen:

Note that the first time you Administer a remote client, neither the Database nor Log Files are available. You must request these individually using the options discussed below
In the General box, you have several options for actions you can perform on the Adminstered client. You select the operations you wish to perform by ticking option boxes, your options are only actioned when you click the Process button.

Description |
Request user database |
The user database contains the Inbound & Outbound Rules and the Check Times. In order to amend these for a remote client, you must firstly request the database from the client. Selecting this option prepares the Administrator to request the database from the remote client. |
Request user log files |
The user log files contain all the text information written by MailRules to the daily log files. The daily log files are stored in the Working Folder. You can request remote client log files and view them. Selecting this option prepares the Administrator to request the logfiles from the remote client. |
Return user database |
If you have made changes to the remote clients' Inbound or Outbound Rules or the Check Times, selecting this option prepares the Administrator to return the database to the remote client. |
Request admin link |
Only available if the remote client has not yet accepted your Administration Link Request. Selecting this option prepares the Administrator to send an Administration Link Request to the remote client. |
Remove admin link |
You can remove your administration relationship with a client. The client will receive a notification that you are no longer their Administrator. Selecting this option prepares the Administrator to send a message to the remote client that will remove the Administration Link. |
Process |
All actions that you have selected are actioned. |
