New Admin

The New Admin button allows you to create a new Administration Link. It is desirable that you have already created an address entry for the remote MailRules client you propose to administer (including the Advanced Profile Password).

The To button allows you to access your Address Book to select the remote MailRules client. You can select more than one address for the purposes of creating an Administration Link.

Send

Sends the Administration Link Request to the remote MailRules client.

Cancel

Cancels the operation and returns you to the Administration screen.

When you Send an Administration Link Request to a remote client, for obvious security reasons, the remote client must agree to be Administered by you. This is a manual process. When the remote MailRules client reads new e-mail the Administration message will be recognised and (provided it passes the security checks) the remote MailRules will display the following message to the user:

The user must click either Accept or Reject to respond to your request to become the Administration. Clicking either option returns an e-mail to you that can be read by MailRules. This will indicate whether the Administration Link has been Accepted or Rejected by the remote client. If the link is accepted, you are able to proceed to full Administration of the remote client.
