Settings Advanced - Filters

Filters allow you to prevent the accidental receipt or transmission of files based upon the file type.

Click Filters (found at the bottom of the Advanced Settings screen) and you will be presented with options that allow you to Add & Remove restricted file types that will not, under any circumstance, be either transmitted or received by Inbound or Outbound Rules.

Filters

Inbound

Displays the list of file types that will not be accepted by any Inbound Rule (this also prevents persons transmitting files to you using Advanced Outbound Rules).

Outbound

Displays the list of file types that wll not be transmitted by any Outbound Rule.

Extension to filter

Type the file extension you want to filter, then click Add.

Add

Click to append the file extension entered into Extension to filter to the current list.

Remove

Click to remove the currently highlighted item from the list of filtered file types.

Duplicate

Copies & appends the file type list from the other direction (that is, if you are viewing Inbound, will copy Outbound).
