The What do I do with MailRules? section of the helpfile aims to give you some ideas about how you can use MailRules. MailRules is a feature-rich collaboration tool built around the sending & receiving of e-mail. Everyone's requirements are different - you may be a major corporate, you may be running a small chain of retail stores, you may be an overworked executive, you may be a sole-trader, or you might just be an Internet homeuser. MailRules has something for you.
Here, we're going to cover some of the things you can do with MailRules, taking you through the concept and the implementation within MailRules. Even if the subject topic does not sound like it will be of use to you, you will still learn things about what MailRules can do, and you may be able to apply this to your own situation. The aim of these topics is not to tell you the things you can do, but to provide ideas for things you might do. These topics are not intended as tutorial, they are to show you how you can quickly implement solutions to real-world problems.
We recommend that you review these topics in the order in which they are presented as concepts are explained and developed in a chronological order.
Each of the topics has an introduction that explains what concept is being demonstrated, then a detailed description of how you implement the concept in MailRules. Beneath each implementation is a section titled "What will happen now" that gives a real-world description of what will happen after implementation. At the end of the topic is a summary.
In the following topics, we assume that you have installed & configured MailRules.
