Administrator

The Administrator is targeted at persons who will run MailRules in many locations, but require centralised maintenance. This is a tremendous benefit if you have MailRules installed at locations where user expertise is limited or there is no user at the computer to make changes as necessary.

The Administrator allows you to manage your MailRules community from one central location: Using the Administrator you can edit, add and delete Inbound and Outbound Rules, set Aliases, and view the Logs & Reports for each member of your MailRules community.

In order to Administer a remote MailRules client, you must have been provided an Advanced Rule Profile Password by the remote MailRules user (if you are unfamiliar with Advanced Rule Profiles you should review that section of the helpfile before continuing). You also need to have enabled your own MailRules to Accept Advanced Rules on the Settings screen or you will not be able to receive any data from your Administered clients.

Before commencing the Administration process, it is desirable that you have already created relevant entries in the Address Book for each member of the community that you will Administer. It goes without saying that you should have already explained to the remote user what the Administration process is for and why you are using it.

Please note that the Administrator uses TripleDES encryption when transmitting data.
