No matter which part of an Inbound Rule you are maintaining (From, Message etc.) you can always access the general properties of the Rule:

Option |
Description |
This allows you to give your Rule a unique name. Why use a Rule Name?
Delete Original Mail |
This option removes the original message from the mail server, after all other actions have been performed. Note that the message will not be deleted from the server until all the Rules in your library have been tested against it. Conversely if you do not chose this then the original message will remain on the server and may be accessed using your mail client in the normal way. |
Notify Me |
This option cause a message to appear on screen to notify you that the rule has been run. An optional audible notification can also be made. (See Advanced Settings-General to specify the sound.) |
This option enables processing of all mail that meets no other Inbound Rule criteria. This type of rule should be established if you are not using a full mail client such as Microsoft Outlook. Selecting this option will disable all the Inbound criteria fields. You will still need to consider what actions you want to be taken with the message body and any attachments.
Disable Rule |
This checkbox at the top of the form will disable the rule without deleting it from your library of Inbound Rules. The rule will not run at its scheduled time and a message will appear in the daily log indicating that it is disabled. |
