The Reporting facility of MailRules allows you to view the activities of your Inbound Rules. To find out what your Inbound Rules have been doing, select an Inbound Rule from the Inbound Rule menu, then click Edit. Then click Reporting.

The message "No history has been logged for this rule. No reporting is currently available" appeared: What does this mean?
Whenever an Inbound Rule is triggered by an incoming e-mail message, MailRules will log the activities that are performed. MailRules Standard edition will provide a simple set of statistics, whereas MailRules Professional edition provides full text description of all actions.
When you have selected the Reporting tab, you will be asked to enter a date range for your report. By default, this will be set to the earliest date that the rule was activated through to the most recent. Amend the date range as you require, then click the Go button and your report will be generated.
Under the Summary tab, you will see these statistics:
Item |
Description |
Message Processed |
This is the total number of e-mail messages that have met this Inbound Rules' criteria. |
Files Received |
This is the total number of files that have been saved by this Inbound Rule. |
Warnings |
If the storage location for your files is inaccesible for any reason, MailRules will save your files to a subfolder of your Working Folder called Pending. You should view the logs to establish what the problem is and take corrective action. |
Save Failures |
If the storage location for your files is currently full or your network permissions have changed, MailRules will save your files to a subfolder of your Working Folder called Pending. You should view the logs to establish what the problem is and take corrective action. |
Application Failures |
If you are running an application as part of your Inbound Rule, this figure will tell you if there have been failures. If you have tested your application with the Test button, any failure is most likely caused by using the file attachments as part of the command - review the logs to establish what the problem is and take corrective action. |
Under the Details tab (available in MailRules Professional only), you can see full descriptions of the activities. This includes the names of files received, to where they were saved, what applications were launched etc.
