New type of Datasource - the file mapper
The new file mapper allows you to create Datasources from just about any text file. "If you've got a business, take a look at MailRules before you shell out for a corporate intranet or an enterprise application."

MailRules can run as a Service on NT, 2000, and XP

Advanced Rules Profiles
Advanced Rule Profiles allow you to set exactly what features of MailRules are available to persons who transmit data to you via Advanced Rules. You can specify multiple passwords, each with different features available to the Sender.

Inbound/Outbound File Filters
To protect your system from either sending or receiving potentially harmful files, you can specify file extensions that MailRules should not send, receive or both.

Outbound Rules can now prepare a catalogue of files prior to sending.
When controlling the dispatch of files with an option such as "If date/time is newer" an additional feature is available for situations where the data may have already been distributed (by CD for example). By creating a catalogue, MailRules will store the date stamp and version number of all files. Subsequently, MailRules will not send any of the files it discovers until they have changed from the version it originally identified.

Inbound Rules - a new abandon and re-queue feature
When your Inbound Rule triggers an external application, you may sometimes find it is desirable to prevent MailRules from reading more e-mail while this application is running. Using the new Abandon & Requeue feature you can stop MailRules from reading further e-mail in a flexible manner.

POP account filter
Inbound Rules can now be applied to a single POP Account.

Content Compare
MailRules can compare the contents of a destination folder(s) with the contents of a source folder(s) and selectively update thoes files that have been replaced by later versions. Perfect for synchonizing application updates with ease.
