Mainfreight have provided MailRules to a number of their clients. The client warehouse
applications create a despatch note for the delivery of orders. A file is produced by the
application containing the despatch note, shipping data such as weight, pallet load, delivery
address etc. MailRules takes this file whenever one is created, and emails Mainfreight with
the data.
At Mainfreight, the email is received and immediately informs the client on the successful
receipt of the email so do not re-send. Then the MailRules email starts the logistics
application which takes the data from the client, allocates the most appropriate truck or van,
informs the driver and allocates a waybill number. The waybill number is passed back to the
client with details of the pickup time and truck/driver direct to the warehouse staff.
All this is achieved with no human interface, significant saving in time and staff resources.
