DiverseyLever is one of the worlds leading suppliers of cleaning and hygiene solutions, and are a large division of the Unilever conglomerate listed on the London Stock Exchange. In New Zealand they hold the predominant portion of this market for their products.
DiverseyLever New Zealand Limited was looking for a secure and easy solution for transmission of the daily delivery orders to their freight company. The company needed a system requiring very little if any user intervention. Mailrules was recommended to us and after evaluation confirmed it as our preferred option for the solution.
Every hour the main ERP system automatically downloads the delivery orders to a designated directory ready to be sent out by MailRules. At predefined intervals, MailRules runs a quick process to copy and rename the batch to be kept for archiving, emails the original batch of transactions to the freight company, and deletes the original files so that they do not get re-sent.
A subsequent process or rule is run to pick up incoming delivery confirmations sent by MailRules from the freight company, to be collected by the ERP system for processing. This entire procedure means there is no user intervention once the original delivery order has been entered into the ERP system.
“Simple to install, simple to set up, completely automated transmission of transactions, simply brilliant,” says Olwyn Borne from DiveryseyLever. “The costs savings in staff time to achieve these tasks are significant. We can relax in knowing that MailRules will do these tasks. MailRules has exceeded our expectations completely.”
A second, and equally welcomed use of MailRules was the automated emailing each Monday of the previous weeks sales movements to 30 individuals within DiverseyLever management located in the various branches in New Zealand and reporting levels overseas. Using Seagate Info ReportWriter MailRules schedules the sales reports to run during the day on Sunday, and each Monday morning MailRules automatically emails the reports, in a secure manner, direct to the 30 recipients, then deletes the original report. This entire process requires no user input. Once set up it just happens. Perfect.
